Financial Support

Through the Graduate Division, our department offers a variety of multi-year fellowship packages that may include stipends, full or partial payment of tuition and fees, and appointment as a Teaching Assistant. We encourage all domestic applicants to complete the Supplemental Fellowship Application. This allows consideration for all types of funding available.

Teaching assistant duties include the supervised instruction of lower-division language courses and the assistant instruction of lower-division courses in literature, film, culture, and linguistics.

For a detailed list of financial aid opportunities, including fellowships for continuing graduate students, please see the Graduate Division’s Financial Aid Site.

Unique to our Department is the Barricelli Award presented annually to an advanced graduate student in the humanities.
