Kelle Truby developed her passion for all things French while growing up in Southern California. An assistantship at the Sorbonne allowed her to move to Paris where she happily lived and worked as an English teacher for 6 years. Having decided to pursue a career in language teaching, she completed her Ph.D. in French Linguistics at the University of California, Davis in 1995. She has been coordinating the French Language Program at UCR since 1998. Previously, she taught at the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Truby has published in the field of Discourse Analysis and Second Language Acquisition. Currently she is serving as contributing author and methods consultant for textbook development at Thomson Learning.
